Top of the range X-MET 5100 combines Oxford Instruments groundbreaking Silicon Draft Detector (SDD) with a powerful 45kV X-ray tube which provide significant accuracy improvement, much better limit of detection and delivers a five time faster measurement speed. XMET 5100 analyzes an element from Mg (12) to U (92) while XMET 5000, the conventional unit gives result from Ti (22) to U (92).
